97 degrees yesterday, 96 today, 43% humidity. It was kinda like walking through pea soup. I HATE this evil detestable weather. It's like we've entered Dante's tenth level of hell or something. Schools are closing early and you sweat just thinking about walking outside. Our office A/C just sucks for lack of a better word. It was on but still about 85 INSIDE. We have no windows to open, just a few small desk fans to circulate the air (and to add insult to injury, our elevators broke and I work on the top floor. Yay!)
Please end the heat. Make it stop. Please bring back the snow. I'd even take those 3 blizzards we had in 2 months in 2009. Really! Perhaps I should move to Alaska?

Heat
We are in our first heat wave of the year. It's been over 90 degrees here for the last few days. Luckily for us the pool opened this past weekend!
Yesterday the heat and the humidity were just awful. When you stepped out of the car, the asphalt smelled like it was baking. The heat was rising off of it in steamy waves. As soon as you open the door to step outside it was a blast to your face, as if you had opened an over door and leaned into it.
Luckily the pool was only a short walk away and provided much relief!
