We are in our first heat wave of the year. It's been over 90 degrees here for the last few days. Luckily for us the pool opened this past weekend!
Yesterday the heat and the humidity were just awful. When you stepped out of the car, the asphalt smelled like it was baking. The heat was rising off of it in steamy waves. As soon as you open the door to step outside it was a blast to your face, as if you had opened an over door and leaned into it.
Luckily the pool was only a short walk away and provided much relief!

Mortal Enemy
My mortal enemy has tried to break up my marriage even when me and my husband were dating. She was upset because I was taking the lime light off her relationship with my husband's sibling. She has caused a huge rift in a family that can not be repaired. I am glad to say I have not had contact with this person since February! And GLAD!

Birthdays
After this past weekend I know why me and my husband stopped planning birthday parties for the kids. It gets expensive fast and sometimes doesn't always go as planned. After my first daughter's 2nd birthday we vowed never to hold a birthday party again and just keep it to birthday dinner with the family. It has been working out great since we didnt have friends with kids. Now my middle child just turned two and we tried the birthday party thing again....and ugh I think we are going back to birthday dinners!!!

Crabby
I am downright cranky in the morning. I bypass crabby right away. I am not a morning person. Takes me a few cups of coffee and a bit of time before "civil" enters my vocabulary. My 9 year old and I are exactly the same. The 2 of us could get up and communicate in blinks and grunts till we are fully functioning.
I am also quite a type A personality, and have a real sense of the way things SHOULD work and when numerous things go NOT according to my solid black and white sense of how things work, what's right and wrong, I can get downright mean.
I try not to be cranky, but especially when you add PMS into the mix...it's not pretty.

Crabby
I think I am crabby when I have a total lack of energy or sleep. And really with three kids it is hard to find things to get myself out the funk. A good nap usually helps when I can get all three down for a nap. Sometimes just putting my music on and just listening to music helps too!
Age
I'm 24, I am a young momma. I have gone through a lot since I was 18. I have learn to accept that I will never be perfect, and people will love me for my imperfections. I still have sometime to figure out my life, if I want to go back to school (once my kids are all in school) and find a career path that truly makes me happy.
Age
I am 33. What does that mean? I don't know. I know myself better than I did when I was 23 I like myself more and I know exactly who I am. I think I'm a better person, and if you don't...at this point in my life, I don't care. I know that sounds bad, but when I was younger I cared what others thought and agonized about why they didn't like me. Now? I really don't care. It's quite freeing :-)

Morning beverage
I LOVE my Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla Coffee Coolatta!!! I try to have one at least 3 times a week
If I can not get out for one, I make DD French Vanilla coffee at home.

I am 35. But honeslty, I DO NOT feel my age! I feel much younger.

My grandfather is 81 years old. He golfs, bowls, does house repairs and yardwork.
I hope to be like that, when I am 81! My Nana was 92 when she died and also did

Mothers
Finally! Glad Blogger is back.
My mom was never mentally able to care for me, but she loved me more then life.
She passed away at the age of 37, 2 years older then I am now. I was 17.
I miss her all the time, and wish I could go back and change history,

Dinner
Tonight a friend and her 2 boys stayed for dinner. We had chicken and corn. I love having company for dinner! Now, if I could get the 4 year old to eat MORE at dinner (or any meal for that matter) that would be awesome!

I made the great ol' spaghetti. After a weekend of stomach bugs, I wanted something easy to cook that would fill our bellies! And it did the trick

Chicken Florentine. Steve's birthday. Chicken stuffed with spinach and feta cheese-mmm!
Mashed sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli were the side dishes. Topped off with some crab soup and double layer peanut butter icing cake for dessert.
